Normcore

Normcore was a style created in 2013 after K-Hole, a group of young trend forecasters, presented anew trend based off a thought process of being self aware of the similarity one has in relation to a larger group. This trend is based on gender-neutral staple pieces building a casual wear wardrobe of high quality, versitile pieces that will never go out of style. Staples for this style include casual sneakers, stonewashed jeans, white and black tees, ball cap, denim or leather jacket, trenchcoat, cashmere sweater, and a solid color crewneck sweatshirt. This style creates a muted and oversized look while still keeping mature and comfortable look meeting many office dress codes.

Academia

Academia style is part of a subculture that evokes the love of learning and studying originating in 2015. It is a moody aesthetic that is compromised of contrasting light and dark colors. Popular contrasts are black, brown, hunter green, burgendy, and navy with lighter colors such as white, cream, and gold. Academia is inspired by preppy uniforms worn at boarding schools and ivy league universities consisting of minimal patterns such as plaid and houndstooth. Some staples to recreate this style include pleated mini skirts, tweed blazers, trousers, wool overcoats, oversized sweaters, and button-down shirts. These pieces are usually layered together and paired with Chelsea boots, Mary Janes, or loafers.

Business Chic

Business chic is a modern minimalist style. It emphasizes sophistication, cleanliness, professionalism, and modest sexuality. It is created with sleek lines, different textures, and tailored clothes giving the look of luxury. This style is meant to make you look amazing and feel confident. Some pieces necessary to acheive this style are classic trousers, an overcoat, pencil skirt, button up blouse, pant suit, and a blazer. This style can be used as an everyday look, event attire, or work wear meeting company dress codes.
